On contract with us for twelve months, Liz runs her own consultancy called Reputation Matters, helping organisations to grow, maintain and save their reputation. She advises clients on stakeholder relations, issues and risk management, communications strategy and sustainability strategy.
Liz is leading Hawke’s Bay Winegrowers’ business strategy as well as day-to-day activities. She brings with her the resources and capabilities of her consultancy – media relations, event management, PR and promotions, marketing and research – utilising her expertise, and that of her specialist team,working alongside administrator Sue Schmidt and marketing and communications manager Vicky Roebuck.

Vicky is a specialist marketing and communications expert with unrivalled knowledge of everything Hawke’s Bay.
Vicky takes care of nurturing Hawke’s Bay Wine’s profile and partnerships to help grow the region’s reputation as one of the world’s most loved wine region.
As well as managing our hosting and regional tasting programme, Vicky liaises with media, as well as key industry and regional partners. She also oversees promotional events, manages consumer media (social and website) and takes care of the Hawke’s Bay Wine brand.
Sue looks after the administration and communications for Hawkes Bay Wine and is the key contact person for Hawke’s Bay wineries and growers.
Originally from Southern Hawke’s Bay, Sue has lived and worked in a number of cities in NZ and overseas in administration and marketing roles. Sue and her husband chose to return to the region recently for its great lifestyle and family connections, not to mention fantastic food, wine and weather. Sue loves to cook with her three children and is often found creating with them in the kitchen, or hunting down ingredients at the local markets.
Sue has been a long-time supporter of the many world-class wineries our region boasts, and is particularly fond of Hawke’s Bay chardonnay. She enjoys working with the many people that make Hawke’s Bay wine so outstanding.
Sue is in the office Monday-Thursday, 8.30am-2.30pm.
