Venue:  Shakespeare Room, Toitoi Event Centre, Hastings
Time:     Doors open at 8.30am for a 9.00am start.
Cost:     $195 (incl GST) plus any booking fees

 

Join us on Friday, 31st of January 2025 to take a close look at Chardonnay from local producers and further afield.  This is the opportunity to come together as a region to discuss and workshop Chardonnay. A space where we can learn from each other and our speakers who will offer different perspectives and insights before the upcoming 2025 harvest.  Morning tea and lunch will be provided and there will be a space reserved nearby for those who want to catch up after the workshop.  We look forward to seeing you all there!

Morning Tea
10.30 – 11.30am     Mark Krasnow, Viticulture and Chardonnay in Hawke’s Bay

Mark Krasnow of Thoughtful Viticulture discusses Chardonnay here in Hawke’s Bay and the effects of our viticulture.

11.30 – 12.15pm     Alternate Vessel Flight and Discussion

Take a look at Chardonnay in barrel alongside some alternative vessels.

Lunch
13.00 – 14.30pm     Murray Cook, Inspiration from across the Straight

Murray Cook from Dog Point and Nous discusses what’s going on with Marlborough Chardonnay with an informative talk and flight of wines.

14.30 – 15.30     Benchmark Flight and Discussion

Leave the day with inspiration from a Chardonnay benchmarking flight.
