Whether you arrive by air (we’re a short flight from most places in New Zealand) or under your own steam, once you get here the options to visit our wineries are exciting and varied.
Grab an e-bike and cycle along the network of trails that connect our wineries, or embrace our famous Deco-era style with a winery tour in a vintage car.
Drive yourself through the beautiful and varied landscape of Hawke’s Bay, stopping at cellar doors that sit beside the Pacific Ocean or others tucked away in river valleys beneath the ranges.
Wine and food is in our DNA here in Hawke’s Bay, so you’ll never be short of somewhere special to dine. Some of our cellar doors incorporate internationally-recognised restaurants. Others pair their wines with a casual platter loaded with local produce.
Festivals, markets and fun events happen year-round in Hawke’s Bay, but especially in the summer months when our Art Deco heritage is centre-stage and our beaches and lush vineyards are basking in sunshine.
At the end of a busy day out in the Bay, put your feet up at one of the many boutique cottages set amid the vineyards, farms and orchards or return to your hotel in the buzzy little cities and towns of Hastings, Napier and Havelock North.
