Surrounding high country offers wind protection from the north, south and west and contributes to the creation of a wide network of terraces, river valleys and varied microclimates.

A temperate climate year-round, Hawke’s Bay enjoys maximum summer temperates between 19-24º and in winter around 10-15º is normal.
