Hawke’s Bay Wine producers will showcase their wines on Tuesday, 19 May 2026 at The Kelvin Club.
This dedicated trade and sommelier event offers a focused opportunity to explore the depth and diversity of New Zealand’s oldest wine region and newest member of the Great Wine Capitals network, with tastings from leading producers and a series of masterclasses highlighting key varieties and sub-regional strengths.
Brent Linn, CEO of Hawke’s Bay Wine, says the event is designed to deepen understanding of the region: “Australian wine professionals may know Hawke’s Bay wines, but there is far more to discover about the region behind the label.”
Sommeliers, buyers, distributors and media are invited to register by submitting your details via the form below.
This event also marks the launch of the inaugural Hawke’s Bay Wine Ambassadorship, developed in partnership with Sommeliers Australia, reinforcing a commitment to building long-term trade relationships in Australia.
Applications open this April for the inaugural Hawke’s Bay Wine Ambassador programme, designed to immerse one exceptional sommelier in one of New Zealand’s most respected wine regions. Attendance at the Melbourne showcase on 19 May 2026 is a prerequisite for applicants. The selected Ambassador will receive a fully hosted trip to Hawke’s Bay to attend the Aotearoa New Zealand Chardonnay Symposium (13–19 September 2026), take part in a curated winery and vineyard programme, and build an ongoing connection with the Hawke’s Bay Wine community.
